Registered No. 3605274  About Us and the Area   Blandford Forum is an historic Georgian market town located in the valley of the River Stour.  The town boasts a good range of shopping, eating and entertainment facilities, with easy access to the larger towns of Bournemouth, Poole, Salisbury and the County town of Dorchester.  Rail services are available at Poole, Salisbury (London Waterloo) and Gillingham. Schools within the town are, The Blandford School, recently upgraded to a ‘Specialist Technology College’ from year 7 to 6th Form, and for younger pupils, Milldown Primary, Archibishop Wake First School and Blandford St Mary schools are within easy reach.  Private schooling can be found at Bryanston School and a short distance away at Clayesmore School. The town has a well appointed local Hospital, and two doctors surgeries situated in Whitecliff Mill Street, with four dental practices also in the town. A leisure centre can be found on the grounds of The Blandford School, providing a range of facilities including swimming pools and fitness suites. The town is steeped in history, the most well known being the Great Fire of Blandford in June 1731, whereby the majority of the town was burnt to the ground. The catastrophe has however, allowed a town full of the finest of Georgian architecture to have been born designed and built by the ‘Bastard Brothers’.
